We saw users were getting frustrated with really slow loading times and a bloated app size, which, understandably, started hitting our retention numbers. It was a clear signal that the underlying tech wasn't cutting it anymore. We knew we had to fix it, and fast, to keep users engaged and our service reliable.
My main job was to lead our development team in solving this performance issue. We decided on a pretty significant strategic move: migrating our core teleconsultation underlying tech from our existing Zoom and Zendesk setup over to Agora. This wasn't just a swap; it was a focused effort to optimize how the app handled real-time communication
I worked really closely with both the developers on my team and our product manager. My focus was on keeping everyone aligned and making sure we hit our timeline, which was crucial given how much this was impacting our users. It was a collaborative push to get it done right.
It had a direct, positive impact on our users. We managed a 40% reduction in the mobile app's overall size, which meant faster downloads and quicker updates for everyone. More importantly, we immediately started seeing a positive user feedback. People noticed a huge improvement in the app's responsiveness and stability, making their teleconsultation experience much smoother and way less frustrating.

EMR: Seamless Teleconsultation Integration

We hit a challenge making remote patient care truly seamless, with everything started to shifting online, we really needed to weave teleconsultation capabilities right into our line of service, ensuring doctors and patients could connect effortlessly, manage appointments, and even get medicines delivered, all without jumping through a bunch of hoops. We basically needed to bridge the physical clinic experience with the digital world.
My primary focus here was to actually build out these core teleconsultation functions within EMR. This meant getting our in-house doctor platform, EMR, to play nice with external services like Zoom (for those crucial video calls) and Aido, our medical delivery partner.
OJK-SLIK: automatic retrieval data

In finance, speed is everything, especially when it comes to loan applications. Our team at WOM Finance was spending way too much time manually pulling SLIK (Financial Information Service System) data from the OJK (Financial Services Authority). It was a real bottleneck, often stretching out our loan processing times to a full day, sometimes even longer. It was frustrating for our staff and, more importantly, a slow experience for our customers.
We figured out a way to get that crucial SLIK data into our system much faster. We implemented an automated system designed specifically for this. This involved setting a secured connections to the OJK's SLIK service to retrieve the necessary financial information automatically, without anyone needing to manually click through screens or copy-paste data. The goal was to remove that manual hurdle entirely and just let the system handle the heavy lifting.
By automating this entire process, we managed to slash loan processing times from what could be up to a full day, down to a maximum of just two hours. That's a huge win! It meant our loan team could work so much more efficiently, and our customers could get quicker response on their loans.
